Full-color vinyl wraps, frosted privacy film, perforated one-way film, and cut vinyl lettering for storefronts and office windows across Silicon Valley. No permit required. Fast turnaround.
Window graphics are one of the most versatile and cost-effective sign types available. A storefront with bare glass is a missed opportunity — that same glass can display your brand, communicate your services, attract foot traffic, or give your office the privacy it needs, all without touching the building structure.
In San Jose and across Silicon Valley, we install window graphics for retail storefronts, tech offices, medical practices, restaurants, and more. Applications range from a simple cut vinyl logo on a suite door to a full-color printed wrap covering an entire storefront window wall, to frosted privacy film across a conference room's glass partition.
Unlike most exterior signs, window graphics don't require a City of San Jose sign permit for most applications — which means faster turnaround and lower total cost. We handle design, printing, and installation from our San Jose base, typically completing projects in one to two weeks.
Most window vinyl and film installations in San Jose don't require a sign permit — unlike channel letters or cabinet signs. That means less waiting and a lower total project cost. We can typically go from approved design to installed graphics in 5–10 business days.
Storefronts, office suites, conference rooms, and retail windows — every application of commercial window vinyl.

Documented Project
A multi-location relationship spanning both storefront window graphics and interior signage. At the Sunnyvale location, a full-width digital-print header band carries the logo across the storefront window, paired with large individual "SEE" and "CLEARLY" window panels and separate cut-vinyl door lettering for the consultation offer, phone number, and QR code. The Milpitas location repeats the concept at a larger scale — window graphics spanning several panels — plus its own cut-vinyl door signage listing specific procedures. Inside, a painted acrylic dimensional logo sign was also installed in the lobby, so the same brand identity carries from the storefront glass through to the reception wall. Consistent execution across two locations and two sign types, coordinated as one ongoing account rather than a series of one-off orders.
Different glass, different goals, different budgets — here's what we offer and what each is best for.
High-resolution digitally printed vinyl applied to the inside or outside of your windows. Use it for promotional graphics, full branding coverage, product imagery, or decorative patterns. Vivid color, sharp detail, and removable when your message changes.
Storefront · Retail · EventsTranslucent vinyl that mimics the look of sandblasted or acid-etched glass at a fraction of the cost. Adds privacy while still letting light through. Ideal for conference rooms, private offices, reception areas, and bathroom windows. Can include logos, patterns, or text cut into the film.
Offices · Medical · PrivacyPrinted vinyl with a micro-perforated surface — opaque from outside, see-through from inside. Perfect for large storefront windows where you want maximum graphic impact without blocking the view from inside. Common in retail, restaurants, and high-traffic street-facing windows.
Storefront · Restaurants · RetailSingle-color precision-cut vinyl text and logos applied directly to glass. The clean, professional choice for suite doors, storefront hours and contact info, office suite numbers, and any application where a simple branded element does the job without a full printed graphic.
Suite Doors · Hours · LogosDecorative band or stripe applications — frosted borders, geometric patterns, or logo-repeating backgrounds — that add visual interest to glass walls and partitions without full coverage. Popular in modern open offices for breaking up glass expanses while maintaining the open aesthetic.
Corporate · Open Office · DesignSolid or striped film applied at eye level to full-height glass panels to meet California building code requirements for glass manifestation. Required on floor-to-ceiling glass walls in commercial spaces — we handle specification and installation to ADA and Cal/OSHA compliance.
Safety · Code Compliance · ADASilicon Valley offices use window film and wall graphics more than any other business category — for privacy, code compliance, and brand identity, often in the same project.
| Office Area | Recommended | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Conference room glass | Frosted film, eye-level band (48–60") | The standard privacy solution in open-plan tech offices across North San Jose and the Santana Row corridor |
| Reception / lobby glass | Frosted film + cut-vinyl or printed logo | Combines the privacy treatment with a brand mark in one installation |
| Lobby or corridor wall (no glass) | Wall wrap — logo wall or values/culture mural | The wall behind reception is almost always a company's first branded wall installation — see our wall wraps page for materials and pricing |
| Full-height glass walls | Safety / manifestation film | Often a Cal/OSHA code requirement, not just a design choice — we handle spec and compliance |
| HR / private offices | Full frosted coverage | Maintains confidentiality without requiring solid walls or construction |
Most tech office projects combine both products — frosted film on conference room glass for privacy, then a logo wall wrap on the main reception wall for brand identity. See the full office window graphics guide → or wall wrap ideas for tech offices →
We've installed window graphics in retail centers, tech campuses, medical offices, and restaurants across San Jose and Silicon Valley.
Window graphics don't require a sign permit for most applications in San Jose, which means we can move from approved design straight to production. Most projects are printed, cut, and installed in 5–10 business days. Rush options available for grand openings and tight timelines.
We use 3M, Avery, and Orafal commercial vinyl and window film — not the consumer-grade material that bubbles, peels, and fades in six months. UV-resistant inks, proper exterior-rated adhesives, and correct surface prep mean your graphics look sharp for years.
We don't outsource printing and then bring in a separate installer. Design is produced to print-ready spec in-house, printed on our commercial equipment, and installed by our crew who know how to work with curved glass edges, silicone seals, and recessed window frames common in Silicon Valley commercial buildings.
Leases change. Brands evolve. Promotions end. We use removable-adhesive vinyl where appropriate so graphics can be updated without damaging glass or frames. Planning a rebrand or seasonal window refresh? We handle removal of old graphics and installation of new ones cleanly.
Two tools that speed up the quoting process significantly.
What should your storefront window actually say? Hours, phone, website, tagline? Our AI-assisted tool helps you figure out the right copy hierarchy before design starts — so nothing important gets left off.
Try the Sign Copy Tool →Tell us your window dimensions, film type preference, brand colors, and logo files — and we can turn around a design proof and quote within one business day. Start here to move fastest.
Start Your Design Brief →Most quote calls start with the same handful of questions, and the answers point clearly to the right product: Is privacy the goal, or visual impact? Is the glass interior or exterior facing? Is this a leased space? Do you already have a design, or do you need one built? We walk through this with every new project — no design experience required on your end. If you need design from scratch rather than working from existing brand files, plan on roughly $200–$600 for concept development, credited toward larger packages.
Window vinyl and film works for virtually every commercial space. Here's who we work with most.
Full-color printed wraps and promotional graphics for storefront windows in shopping centers, strip malls, and street-facing retail across San Jose and Silicon Valley.
Perforated one-way film for street visibility without blocking the inside view. Menu graphics, hours, and brand elements on glass doors and large windows.
Frosted film with logo cutouts for conference rooms, glass-walled offices, and open-plan partitions. Privacy where you need it, open feel where you don't.
Frosted privacy film for waiting rooms, treatment areas, and consultation rooms — compliant with HIPAA privacy expectations without permanent glass modification.
Decorative frosted film patterns that add elegance and privacy simultaneously. Stylized brand graphics for street-facing windows that attract and intrigue.
Subtle frosted window branding for professional office suites — firm name, logo, and suite number in cut vinyl or frosted film on glass doors and side panels.
Large-format listing displays, agent roster graphics, and brand wraps for real estate office windows. Easy to update as listings change.
Motivational graphics, class schedule displays, and branding wraps for fitness studio windows. Perforated film keeps the energy visible from the street.
You don't need a full storefront wrap to make an impact. Here's what smaller, entry-point projects typically run.
| Project | Typical Cost | Turnaround |
|---|---|---|
| Cut vinyl lettering (door hours, suite ID) | $150–$350 | 2–5 business days |
| Partial window graphic, one window | $400–$900 | 5–10 business days |
| Frosted privacy film, single office | $300–$700 | 5–10 business days |
| Small accent wall wrap (up to 50 sq ft) | $400–$900 | 1–2 weeks |
Figures reflect design, print/cut, and standard installation for completed Clear Line Signs projects; pricing current as of September 2026. No minimum order — we quote small jobs the same as large ones. Full storefront window wrap cost guide →
Window graphics are one piece of a complete branding package.
Most window graphic projects are complete in 5–10 business days. Here's the process.
We discuss your goals, window dimensions, film type, and design direction. On-site visits available throughout Silicon Valley — we'll measure your windows and assess the glass surface before quoting.
We produce a digital mockup showing your graphics on your actual windows — to scale, in context. You see exactly what it will look like before a single square foot is printed.
Approved artwork goes straight to production on commercial-grade vinyl. Printed, laminated, cut, and quality-checked — ready for installation in days, not weeks.
Clean installation with no bubbles, no lifted edges, no residue on frames. We surface-prep the glass, apply wet or dry depending on film type, and trim to a clean edge. Done right the first time.
Three things: design, printing, and installation handled by one team instead of subcontracted out; commercial-grade material (3M, Avery, Orafol) rather than consumer vinyl that bubbles or fades; and a scaled design proof before anything is printed, so there are no surprises on install day. We also pull your address's zoning before designing storefront graphics, since San Jose's sign code limits opaque window coverage by district.
For conference room glass, frosted film at eye level is the standard — private without blocking light. For a reception wall with no glass, a logo or brand wall wrap is the more common choice. Most San Jose tech offices combine both: frosted film for privacy on glass partitions, a wall wrap or printed logo for brand identity on the main reception wall.
Turnaround depends on the product. Cut vinyl lettering (no printing involved) is fastest at 2–5 business days. Standard window film and printed graphics run 5–10 business days from approved design to installed. Most office window graphic jobs — a conference room or two of frosted film — complete installation in a single half-day visit. Rush options are available for grand openings and tight timelines; flag it at the start of the quote, not after production begins.
Yes. If you have existing brand files (logo, Pantone colors), we prep them for print at no separate design charge. If you need a design built from scratch, plan on roughly $200–$600 for concept development, which is credited toward larger packages. Every project gets a to-scale digital proof showing the graphic on your actual windows or wall before anything goes to production.
Cut vinyl lettering for a storefront door runs $150–$350. A partial window graphic on one large window is typically $400–$900. Frosted privacy film for a single office runs $300–$700. There's no minimum order — small single-window and single-door jobs are quoted and installed the same way larger multi-window projects are.
No, most window vinyl and film applications don't require a sign permit — which is a big part of why turnaround is faster than channel letters or monument signs. San Jose's sign code does limit how much of a storefront window can be covered by opaque graphics (25% of the window frame area in aggregate), which we confirm before finalizing any storefront design.
We install window graphics and film throughout San Jose and the greater South Bay Area.
